The pilot identity that travels with every flight you publish: your details, your FAI record paperwork, and the wing and pilot you draw for the maps.

Why it matters#

Where Profile › Flight Profile

Your account holds your login. Your pilot profile holds your flying identity, and it shows up in more places than you might expect: on the flight page of every flight you publish, in the pilot list of the live map, in the rankings, on the record boards, and pre filled into a competition registration form.

Tip

Filling this in once saves you typing the same details into every competition you enter for the rest of the season. Organizers can also block a registration from being confirmed until the required fields are present.

Pilot details#

Pilot Nickname
The name shown on flights, rankings and the live map. It also becomes the readable part of your public profile address. Leave it empty to use your account name instead.
Gender
Used for female and mixed rankings in competitions, and for the category on an FAI record claim. Set it if you compete or chase records.
Country
Your flag next to your name, and the country you score for in country leagues and country records. Set it before joining a country league: a country league only accepts pilots flying for that country.
License Number
Your national pilot license number. Many competitions ask for it. Fill it in and it is carried into the registration form.
Civil ID
The identity document number some competitions require for registration. Only needed where an organizer asks for it.
Flying since
The year you started. Shown as a badge on your public profile. Cosmetic, and quietly satisfying after a few years.
Flying Style
Competition, XC, Hike and Fly, Tandem, Paramotor, Acro, Speedfly, Just for Fun
Multiple choice badges on your public profile. Pick everything that applies. Nothing is scored from it.

FAI record details#

These fields exist for one purpose: the XC planner can generate a complete FAI record task declaration as a PDF, and it needs your paperwork to do it. Nationality and category come from Country and Gender above, so they are not repeated here.

FAI Sporting Licence No.
Your FAI sporting license number. Required on a record declaration.
CIVL ID
Your CIVL identifier. Also used by competition organizers who work with the world ranking.
National Aero Club (NAC)
The aero club that issued your license. The declaration is sent to them as well as to CIVL.
NAC member No.
Your membership number at that club. Required on a record declaration.
Glider make and model
The wing you intend to fly the record on. Keep it current if you swap wings mid season.
Glider serial No.
The serial number of that wing. Required on a record declaration.

Wing designer and pilot designer#

Your marker on the live map and on your flight tracks is a little paraglider seen from above, and you get to paint it. The same drawing is used in the app.

Primary color
The main color of the canopy. Pick something you can find quickly on a crowded live map.
Secondary color
The second color used by the pattern. Ignored by the solid pattern.
Pattern
Solid, Stripes, Chevron, Dots, Gradient, Outline, Center band, Tips, Horizontal split, Vertical split
How the two colors are arranged across the wing. Contrasting patterns read better when the marker is small.

The pilot designer does the same for the pilot under the wing, with a Skin tone and a Strap color. A preview shows both states the marker can be in, Flying and On ground.

Your public pilot page#

Every pilot with published flights has a public page at /flight-profile. It is the page other pilots reach by clicking your name anywhere on the site, and it is the one thing you can hand to someone who wants to see what you fly.

  • Your pilot details, flag, flying since badge and style badges.
  • Year Snapshot: flights, total airtime, total distance and average speed for the selected year.
  • XC Highlights: your best open distance, flat triangle and FAI triangle.
  • Best Flights and your position in the pilot ranking.
  • Flight Archive: every public flight, filterable by year.

Only flights you published appear here. Private flights are yours alone and are never listed, counted or scored on this page.
