Above ground level. Your height over the terrain, as opposed to above sea level.

Controlled or restricted volumes of sky. Overlaid on the planner, the task editor and the scoring map, and checked during scoring.

The altitude against time graph under a flight map.

A named set of pilots that appears as one entry in the live map selector.

The FAI commission for free flight. Its ID appears on your pilot profile and in competition registrations.

Your number at a competition. Unique per event, and used in the scoring.

A turnpoint defined by a radius around a point, the usual shape in a task.

End of speed section. Where the timed part of a race task stops, which is not always the goal.

A closed triangle where every leg is at least 28 percent of the perimeter. The highest scoring XC shape.

A closed triangle of any shape.

Fixed total validity. In a competition overall, each pilot drops their worst share of the days, typically 25 percent.

Distance over up to three turnpoints, one of the four scored XC types.

The competition scoring formula used by FAI paragliding events. GAP2026 is the current model on this site.

The shared list of brands, models and sizes every flight's glider is picked from. One wing exists in it once; spellings, typos and brand variants all resolve to that one entry. Pilots propose missing wings, administrators approve or merge them.

The end of a task. A cylinder or a line, and optionally elevated above the terrain.

One IGC file with the walks and every flight of a day, recorded with the app. It is stored as one flight whose numbers describe the flights only, with the walked part and the per flight breakdown on the flight page.

The standard flight track file format. Every flight on the site starts as one.
