BRoles and who can do what

Every role on the site in one place: organization roles, competition staff roles, and the capability each tab of the competition manager needs.

Mixed, see chapter

Competition staff roles#

Organizer Admin Every competition capability. The driver flag is added by hand when an organizer also drives retrieve.
Registration Manager Review registrations, export them, manage payments, verify documents, send event emails, check pilots in by hand.

Safety/Live Ops Live operations.
Driver Live operations plus the driver flag, for retrieve car tracking and pickup assignments.

Membership is not a role#

Two different systems decide what you can do, and it is worth keeping them apart.

Your membership
What features exist for you at all: the task manager, organizations, public competitions. See Memberships.
Your roles
What you may do to somebody else's things: this club's files, that competition's registrations.

A Pro member with no role on a competition cannot touch it. A staff member with a free account can still do their job on the competition they are staff on, because the competition's capabilities are what count there.
