The full list#

These are the actions offered when you assign a button in Remote controls. The same set is available as control tiles on a layout.

Action Group Notes

Zoom out Map Zooms the flight map out one step. Also worth assigning to repeat.
Auto zoom toggle Map Turns automatic zoom on and off without opening settings.
Map pan up Map Pans the map north.
Map pan down Map Pans the map south.
Map pan left Map Pans the map west.
Map pan right Map Pans the map east.
Switch layout Screen Moves to the next layout page for the current orientation.
Next turnpoint Navigation Moves the task focus forward one turnpoint.
Previous turnpoint Navigation Moves the task focus back one turnpoint.
Take photo Capture Takes a photo without leaving the flight screen.
Level 1 message Live Sends the L1 level message. Only during task recording with live tracking on.
Level 2 message Live Sends the L2 level message.
Level 3 message Live Sends the L3 level message.

Gestures per button#

With an AeroRemote, each physical button can carry three different actions.

Gesture How to trigger it Best for
Short press Tap the button. The action you use most on that button.
Long press Hold the button. A second action you use less often, or one you want to be deliberate about.
Repeat Keep holding until repeat starts. Zoom and pan, where one step per press is far too slow.

Note

In HID keyboard mode each button simply sends a key, so you get one action per key rather than three per button.

Tip

A workable starting set: zoom in and zoom out on repeat, switch layout on short press, next turnpoint on long press. Add level messages only if your event uses them.
