Works offline

Where messages appear#

A bar at the bottom
The result of something you just did. It disappears by itself.
A red card at the top of the tab
An error that is still current. It stays until you dismiss it with the cross.
The line under Quick status
The last thing the caches did. Informational, and often the answer to "did that refresh actually work".

Messages that come from the server are shown exactly as the server wrote them, so a message that is not in the tables below is the competition backend talking to you, not the app.

Sign in and connection#

Message Meaning and fix
You are offline. Internet is required for login. There is no offline sign in. Find a connection.
Please log in to load competitions. No session on this phone yet. Sign in.
Signed out. You used Logout. Caches and the queue are untouched.
Network error. Please check your internet connection. The server could not be reached. The app retries by itself once the connection is back.
Something went wrong. Please try again. An unexpected error. Refresh, and if it repeats, report it in the forum.
Offline mode active. Using locally cached data. Normal offline working. Scans will be queued.

Competition and category#

Message Meaning and fix
Select a competition first. Choose one in the Competition setup card.
Select a category first. Tap a category chip.
Please select a competition before scanning. The same, raised while preparing a scan.

No competitions available yet. Your account is not staff on any competition. Ask the organizer.
No categories available for this competition. None defined, or never synced. Refresh with a connection.

Scanning#

Message Meaning and fix
QR payload is empty. Nothing was read from the code. Scan again.
Could not read a valid SkyTrack token from this QR code. Not a SkyTrackPro pilot code.
Pilot not found in local cache. Refresh cache when online and try again. A late registration this phone has not seen. Refresh the pilot cache.
Register scan required first. Scan the Register category before any other category. Offline rule: Register has to come first on this phone.
Register requires internet to load full details. The Register category has no offline mode.
Register already confirmed for this pilot. Nothing to do, the pilot is already registered.
Could not prepare scan preview. The lookup failed. Read the red banner on the tab for the reason.
Scan submission failed. The server refused the scan. It was not recorded and not queued.
Could not queue scan. The scan could not be stored on the phone. Free some storage and try again.
... confirmed for ... Recorded on the server.
... already confirmed for ... The server already had it. Counts as success.
... queued for ... Stored on the phone, waiting for a connection.

Cache and queue#

Message Meaning
Pilot list loaded: 137 pilots. Fresh from the server.
Loaded cached pilots: 137 (2026-08-02 19:40). From the phone, with the age of the copy.
Offline. Using cached pilots (137) from 2026-08-02 19:40. The same, and the reason is that you are offline.
Network issue. Showing cached pilots (137) from 2026-08-02 19:40. The server was unreachable, so the cache is being shown instead.
Offline and no pilot cache for this competition yet. Nothing to work with. You have to get online once.
Pilot cache already up to date (137 pilots). The server confirmed nothing changed.
Pilot cache refreshed: 137 pilots at 2026-08-02 19:40. A fresh copy, photos included, was downloaded.
Queue sync complete. Pending: 0, failed: 0. The queue ran. These two numbers are the ones that matter.

Live tracking and Live Ops#

Message Meaning and fix
Please sign in to open live tracking. The session is gone. Sign in again.
Live tracking requires internet. No cached mode exists for the live tabs.
Live tracking is disabled for this competition. Turned off by the organizer for the whole event.
No live task published for today. Nothing published yet. Refresh once the organizer publishes.
Reconnecting to live tracking... The connection dropped and the app is retrying by itself.
Live connection error. Retrying... The same, after an error rather than a clean drop.
Disconnected from live tracking. Not connected. Positions on screen are frozen.
Please sign in to view pilot scan history. The session is gone. Sign in again.
Pilot scan history requires internet. This screen reads the server, never the cache.
No driver assigned A retrieve request nobody is driving to yet. Use Assign driver on the card.
No drivers on staff yet. Add staff with the Driver role to assign retrieves. Nobody on this competition has the retrieve driver capability. The organizer grants it on the website.
Task stopped The organizer stopped the task. Their message follows on the banner.
Pilot emergency alert Unacknowledged SOS or need help messages are waiting. Tap to open the feed.

Driver#

Message Meaning and fix
Location permission denied. Position sharing stays off. You declined the prompt. Turn the switch on again.
Location permission is blocked. Enable it in the system settings to share your position. Permanently refused. Use Open settings.
Location services are turned off. Enable them in the system settings to share your position. Location is off for the whole phone.
No live task published for today. Shown when you try to start sharing before a task exists. Position sharing is tied to the day's task.
Waiting for GPS fix... Sharing is on, no position yet.
Sharing your live position Working normally.
Connection problem Positions are buffered, uploads are being retried.
No pilots assigned to you yet... The organizers have not assigned anybody. Make sure you are sharing your position.
