SkyTrackPro 1.7.0

The new SkyTrackPro Version 1.7.0 is now available for iOS and Android. This is a milestone release: a brand new XC Hub, native Vector Vario support over BLE, a completely reworked thermal assistant tile, the new next airspace tile, full Live Ops for competition pilots, smarter Auto End detection, freeform flight layouts and a substantial battery and performance audit.

Vector Vario over BLE

SkyTrackPro now integrates with the unique Vector Vario directly over BLE, so you get measured wind, airspeed and temperature from your instrument in real time. I would like to say thank you to the Vector Vario Team for the friendly communication and of course sending us a vario to integrate it cleanly into the software. I have been flying the Vector Vario in various flights and the data we receive from the vario is spot on. Reworked Thermal Assistant Tile

The thermal assistant tile has been completely rebuilt into a rich square layout widget that makes a thermal much easier to read at a glance.

• Full trail with a live core box
• Wind and target edge indicators
• Target cylinder shown in task colours, with a glide line and a bigger pilot arrow
• Airspace boundaries and obstacles included with alert consistent filtering
• Live vario readout with the plus sign restored on climb values

New Next Airspace Tile and Improved Obstacle Manager

• New Next airspace tile: nearest airspace or obstacle lookahead in a split layout
• Improved Obstacle Manager and warnings

Auto End Detection

Ending a flight is now much more reliable. SkyTrackPro uses a windowed low motion detection with a stale pause countdown, so flights end when you actually stop and not before.

Freeform Flight Layouts

The freeform layout system continues to open up. There is now no reserved HUD band, and even the back and record buttons and banners can be moved wherever you want them.

Under the hood, 1.7.0 includes a big battery and performance pass so the app stays lean during long XC days.

• New 5 minute option for the battery safe mode idle timeout
• Low power Android ground profile and background gated visual pollers
• Heavy parsing and scoring moved off the UI thread
• Spatial bbox prefilters for per fix obstacle and airspace geometry
• Throttled recording UI position pushes, redacted path tokens, bounded zlib imports
• BLE reconnect loops back off when instruments are unreachable

Reliability and Security

• Audit verification fixes: geometry correctness, XC race conditions, polish and cleanup
• Fixed edge linear bars growing too wide on landscape pages
