SkyTrackPro 1.4.1 — Freeform Cockpit, Stabilised Wind and CIVL S7F Compliance
The new SkyTrackPro Version 1.4.1 is now available for
iOS and Android. This release makes the cockpit truly
yours — the flight layout map tiles and side view tile are now freely
resizable — adds a much more stable wind strenght and direction
algorithm, enforces the new CIVL S7F elevated goal rule
and introduces video capture alongside photos.
A cockpit you can shape, a wind tile that no longer jumps, and full
CIVL S7F elevated goal compliance.
Freeform Flight Layout
The flight layout editor takes a big step forward: the
map, tiles and the side view tile can now be moved and resized
freely, so you can build the cockpit you actually want instead
of working around fixed slots.
- Flight layout map is now freely movable and resizable
- Tiles are freely resizable via long press
- Side view tile is freely resizable via long press
- Resize handles inset clear of OS edge gestures, so they no longer fight with the system
Stabilised Wind Direction and Strength
The wind direction estimator has been refined especially for external connected varios: large wind strenght jumps and direction changes are now gated behind sustained confirmation,
so the wind tile no longer jumps on a single noisy reading and stays
honest in shifty conditions.
- Filters out single circle outliers
- Updates quickly when the wind actually shifts
- Builds on the rewritten wind estimator and altitude banded store from 1.3.5
CIVL S7F Elevated Goal Compliance
SkyTrackPro now enforces the new CIVL S7F rule for
elevated goal altitude — making sure tasks scored with SkyTrackPro stay
inside the agreed limits.
- Elevated goal altitude range fixed at 200 to 1000 m
- Default value set to 300 m
- Applied consistently in editor, importer and live detection
Video Capture from the Flight Page
The flight capture button now opens a bottom sheet selector
so you can choose between photo or video in a single tap
— perfect for capturing thermals, launches and landings without leaving
the app.
Onboarding and Home Page
The home page is now a much better starting point — especially for new
pilots — with a guided first launch, a Quick Start help sheet and quick
access to your gear and tasks.
- New Quick Start help sheet with setup checks and announcements
- First launch app guide for new pilots
- Edit shortcuts for glider and task directly from the home page
- 1.4.1 announcement message and an updated demo with a 10 minutes to go state
- Cleaned up the profile gender dropdown
Side View Improvements
- Configurable circling metrics with custom order, taps and override
- Altitude limit now works in the side view even without the tile placed
- Metric chips reordered so the visual sequence matches the slots
Pre SSS Banners
- Pre SSS info banner moved to 15 minutes before start, with a new 10 minute countdown notification
- Pre SSS status banner now shows an assist line 15 minutes before start
Maps and Flight Page Polish
- Glacier layer added to the outdoor topo map
- L/D heading line is now hidden while thermaling, for a cleaner view
- Re tapping the active flight tab refreshes again
- External vario data path cleaned up
Fixes
- Thermal assistant bubbles and core ring no longer fail to appear on Android
- Aligned Airspace and Cable benchmark launch altitude with the other scenarios
iOS Build System Modernised
Under the hood, iOS now builds via Swift Package Manager
instead of CocoaPods, paving the way for faster and more reliable
releases on Apple platforms.
- iOS migrated from CocoaPods to Swift Package Manager
- Updated Flutter, packages and Android toolchain
- Stability and reliability improvements across the app
