SkyTrackPro 1.4.0

The new SkyTrackPro Version 1.4.0 is now available for iOS and Android. This is a milestone release: a brand-new live tracking buddies overlay, a powerful side-view tile with terrain, airspaces, next turnpoint indicator and a live glide line, redesigned standard flight layouts, tour guide and on first installs and a long list of refinements to make every flight smoother.

Live Tracking Buddies on the Flight Page

The flight page now includes a live tracking buddies overlay, so you can see where your friends and teammates are in real time without leaving your main map.

• Stay aware of the group during XC days and competitions
• Designed to stay readable next to your existing tiles and overlays

New Side-View Tile

A completely new side-view tile joins the cockpit, giving you a vertical slice of the air ahead with terrain, airspaces, turnpoint marker and a live glide line so you can read the next valley or ridge at a glance.

• Live terrain profile in the direction of flight
• Airspace ceilings and floors shown in context
• Live glide line based on your current performance
• Automatically switches to big metrics while circling, and back to the full side view when you leave the thermal

Redesigned Standard Flight Layouts

The default flight layouts have been redesigned around a 2/3 map plus a dedicated tile panel, striking a better balance between situational awareness and key flight data.

• More map, with information cleanly grouped on the side
• Faster layout editing thanks to a new help sheet and snap-to-grid toggle
• Linear tile now pins explicitly to the side you choose instead of flipping across the centre

Flight Data Refinements

• Wind is now capped at a sensible 60 km/h to prevent extreme outliers from dominating the display
• Climb layers are now visible on all vario tiles, not just the main one

Tasks & Glider Defaults

• Task deadline now defaults to 23:00, matching how most XC and competition pilots use it
• Prompt before leaving a task with unsaved changes
• SkyTrackPro now remembers your last-used glider as the default for the next flight

• Updated share_plus for sharing
