SkyTrackPro 1.3.5 — Rewritten Wind Estimator and Per-Altitude Insights
The new SkyTrackPro Version 1.3.5 is now available for
iOS and Android. This release focuses on
wind measurement, with a fully rewritten wind
estimator, an altitude-banded wind store, a redesigned wind tile and
per-altitude breakdowns of wind and thermals — plus a handful of
refinements to final glide and layouts.
More accurate winds aloft, a clearer wind tile and tap-to-reveal
per-altitude details.
Rewritten Wind Estimator
The wind estimator has been rebuilt from the ground up. Instead of
averaging across the whole climb, SkyTrackPro now fits a cosine model
to each circle and stores results in altitude bands,
giving you a much more honest picture of how the wind changes as you
climb.
- Circling cosine fit per turn for cleaner results
- Altitude-banded wind store — winds aloft, not just a single average
- More stable readings in messy or shifting conditions
- Better correlation between wind direction, speed and your actual climb
Redesigned Wind Tile
The wind tile has been redesigned to match the new estimator and to
read faster at a glance during flight.
- Rotating arrow showing live wind direction
- Tighter tile padding for a cleaner cockpit
- Consistent styling with the rest of the Tiles tab
Per-Altitude Wind and Thermal Breakdowns
Tap the wind tile to open a detailed view of how the wind and thermals
behave at different altitudes — the kind of insight that usually only
shows up after a flight, now available live.
- Wind direction and speed broken down by altitude band
- Thermal strength per altitude band alongside the wind
- Helps with decisions on where to climb and where to push on
Final Glide Refinements
- Next-target preview in the minimised On Final Glide banner — see what's coming after the current leg without expanding the banner
Layouts & Under the Hood
- Removed the "Make public" option from flight layout slots for a cleaner sharing flow
- Updated secure-storage library for better reliability on both platforms
