What's New in SkyTrackPro — A Major Spring Update

Since our last release, SkyTrackPro has received its biggest set of improvements yet. From a completely redesigned public flight profile to faster vector maps, smarter task sharing, and a brand-new bulk flight editor — every part of the platform has been refined for pilots who fly often and want more out of their data.

A faster, cleaner, and more powerful SkyTrackPro — all in one update.

Redesigned Public Flight Profile

Your public profile has been rebuilt from the ground up with a modern, responsive layout that highlights what matters most:

  • Cleaner overview of your flights, stats, and personal bests
  • Improved year selection for browsing past seasons
  • Refined visuals on both desktop and mobile
  • Faster loading of flight tracks and images

Whether you share your profile with friends, sponsors, or your club, it now looks the way your flights deserve.

A Brand-New Map Engine — Goodbye Leaflet, Hello SkyTrack Topo

SkyTrackPro now runs entirely on MapLibre. The legacy Leaflet renderer has been fully removed, making the platform leaner, faster, and more capable.

  • New SkyTrack Topo style, modeled on the Tracestrack Topo map
  • Topo is now the default style across the entire platform
  • Smooth vector rendering, sharper terrain, and consistent UI on mobile and desktop
  • Significantly reduced asset size — pages load faster than ever

Smarter Task Sharing with QR Codes

Sharing tasks just got a serious upgrade. A new share modal brings task sharing into one clear interface:

  • QR codes in XCTSK and XCTSKZ formats — scan directly with XCTrack, Naviter, FlySkyHi, or compatible apps
  • Versioned task URLs so changes never break shared links
  • Layout sharing now uses QR codes too — no more public/private toggling
  • Redesigned shared files tab with a searchable list
  • Bigger radius handle for easier turnpoint editing on mobile

Briefings, training sessions, and competitions are now just a scan away.

Better Flight Import and Editing

Managing your flights has become noticeably faster and more flexible:

  • Improved history import — bring in your full archive in one go
  • Smoother handling of large XContest ZIP uploads
  • Edit past flights: update glider, FAI class, wing type, takeoff, comments, and images
  • New bulk update for filtered flights — change glider, FAI class, or wing type across many flights at once
  • More reliable image upload, reorder, and delete
Import your entire flying history as a ZIP and let SkyTrackPro do the rest.

Mobile Polish and Stability Fixes

Lots of small but meaningful improvements across the platform:

  • Fixed task download issues on mobile
  • Cleaner ranking and tasks styling on small screens
  • Various UI fixes for a more consistent experience

A Stronger, Safer Public API

The SkyTrackPro Public API v1 has been hardened with improved validation, clearer error handling, and a full end-to-end test runner. Developers integrating with SkyTrackPro now get a more predictable and reliable surface to build on.

  • Stricter input validation and consistent responses
  • Expanded API documentation
  • Automated test suite covering the full API lifecycle

Core Platform Update — jscms 3.0.3

Under the hood, SkyTrackPro has been updated to the latest jscms 3.0.3 release. This brings improved 2FA handling, smoother profile and user management, better cookie consent integration, and overall stability improvements across the entire site.

Log in, explore the new map style, and try the new sharing and bulk editing tools — SkyTrackPro has never felt this good.

SkyTrackPro continues to evolve — helping pilots manage, analyse, and understand their flights better than ever before.
